Or "Mom" if you're one of my kids. :) While I spent a greater portion of my life interested and or occupied with still photography, it wasn't until my children were photographed by a mall chain store that I really found my passion. A parent's greatest memory of their child comes from a stolen shot, a fortunate meeting of camera and personality. My greatest joy is to capture a moment that sparks a memory in years to come of the child that was and that still is, a part of each and every one of us. San Jose Livestrong Challenge 2010

Hello my friends,
It’s been a while, I know. We’ve had so much going on here at the Martin casa that my sad little blog has continued to suffer.
I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful, passionate group of fundraisers for the 2010 San Jose Livestrong Challenge. Pat’s Posse has raised over $14,000 this year alone in support of the wonderful work being done on behalf of those stricken with cancer. This slide show represents just a small portion of the photos I took of this amazing and I might add gorgeous group of people.
I’ll have more about this event and big changes here at home in the future.

Friday Night Fresh! San Jose Newborn Photographer

I just love squishy, brand new little babies! I love brand new parents, they are so full of love and joy that you can’t help but be happy being around them!
This week has been insane with the continuing renovation of the kitchen and preparations for Mother’s day, but I could not miss posting a couple of images from last Sunday’s newborn shoot of Little L for her mom and wish her a most wonderful first Mother’s day. Your little girl is a beauty and you guys are an amazing family.

Lost in the Supermarket

I used to shop happily………..
I used to just go to the grocery store. Armed with a list and and most of the time an uncooperative child or two, I’d head out, fill my cart and go home with my haul. But lately, I found that the grocery store offers more than just fresh veggies and wine, but fresh faces as well.
One of the side effects of an obsession with photography is the compulsion to photograph, well…… everything. So you can imagine what a serious distraction all the cute kids stashed in grocery carts must pose for me. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t chase down every cute kid I see and scare the bejezzes out of their parents but I will approach a family with a child who’s got that something extra that would translate well.
Guaranteed personality………..
Sassy Miss A was just one of those kids. I took one look at those twinkling brown eyes and gorgeous red hair and I knew she’d be a fabulous subject. This sweet girl has personality to spare!
